Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted a 9.5-kilogram consignment of ADB Chminaca, a highly potent synthetic cannabinoid classified as a dangerous new psychoactive substance, at a courier company in Lagos.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the shipment, which originated from China, was concealed inside a carton before it was uncovered by the anti-narcotic operatives.

Babafemi stated that in a separate operation on Tuesday, June 16, NDLEA officers recovered 300 grams of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, hidden inside ladies' handbags at another logistics company in Lagos.

He said the agency also carried out a raid on Friday, June 19, at the residence of a wanted drug suspect, Lukman Badmus, popularly known as Lukman Ogombo, in the Ogombo area of Ajah, Lagos.

During the operation, Babafemi said NDLEA operatives recovered nine bottles of codeine syrup and 30 grams of skunk.
