The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Shuaibu Rabiu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency by-election in Kano State.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Umar Sani, announced Rabiu’s victory on Saturday after he secured a total of 35,356 votes, defeating his closest rival, Lawal Garba-Haruna of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), who polled 268 votes, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
Abubakar Yahaya-Muhammad of the Labour Party (LP) came third with 98 votes.
