According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the first operation was carried out around midday on June 19, 2026, when officers on patrol along the Igbariam-Achalla Road intercepted two men travelling on a Daylong motorcycle.
The suspects, identified as 27-year-old Williams Ndifon and David Missang, were searched by the police operatives, leading to the recovery of a locally fabricated Beretta pistol, one live round of ammunition, six mobile phones, two power banks, a sledgehammer, a metal chisel believed to be used for breaking into targets, and quantities of substances suspected to be cannabis.
The police spokesperson said the police operatives also seized the Daylong motorcycle used by the suspects and recovered a black polo shirt bearing the inscription "Nigeria Army Barracks Youths Foundation (NABYF)."
