Cornerstone Insurance Plc Foundation (CIPLCF) is strengthening its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through targeted community development initiatives aimed at improving access to essential services and promoting sustainable living.
The Foundation’s recent donation of a solar-powered borehole to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Abuja underscores its commitment to advancing sustainable development and creating lasting social impact across Nigeria.
The project, which was recently commissioned, is designed to provide reliable access to clean water while leveraging renewable energy through solar technology. Beyond addressing a critical water need, the initiative aligns with the United Nations SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), reinforcing the Foundation’s focus on environmental sustainability and public well-being.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Cordelia Ekeocha, head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Cornerstone Insurance Plc, who represented the managing director/CEO Stephen Alangbo, said the Foundation remains committed to implementing initiatives that deliver long-term value to beneficiaries.
