The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received reports of the blaze on New Zealand Way at 6.52pm. Firefighters rescued three men from the building; two were pronounced dead at the scene, and the third died later in hospital. Approximately 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines were deployed to the incident, bringing the fire under control by 9.25pm. The fire, which damaged just over half of the single-storey pavilion, is currently under investigation by the LFB and Metropolitan Police.
