Three people have died after a fire broke out in a building in White City, west London tonight, London Fire Brigade has confirmed. About 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines responded to the blaze on New Zealand Way at 6.52pm after receiving 19 calls reporting the incident. Three men were rescued by firefighters from a single storey pavilion, with over half of its structure damaged by the fire. All three were treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service paramedics. Sadly, two died at the scene. The third man was rushed to hospital for further treatment, but was later pronounced dead. Nine people were also treated at the scene by LAS, who also dispatched ambulance crews as well as an air ambulance to the incident. Three of which were taken to a major trauma centre, with four people discharged from crews care at the scene. Firefighters from North Kensington, Acton, Chiswick and surrounding stations, brought blaze under control around two and a half hours later at 9.25pm. London Fire Brigade's specialist fire investigation officers and the Metropolitan Police have launched a probe into the cause of the inferno. 'Three men were rescued from the building by firefighters and treated on scene by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. 'Sadly, two of the men were declared dead at the scene. The third man was taken to hospital for further treatment, but was later declared dead. 'The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade's specialist fire investigation officers and the Metropolitan Police Service.'The fire broke out just half a mile from the BBC's old Television Centre and a mile away from the Westfield London shopping centre.A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We were called at 7.02pm on June 20 to reports of a fire at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue and Bloemfontein Road, W12.'We sent a number of resources to the scene including ambulance crews, incident response officers, advanced paramedic practitioners, a command support vehicle, emergency planning officers, a paramedic from our tactical response unit. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.'We treated nine people at the scene. Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, two patients were pronounced dead at the scene. 'We conveyed three patients to a major trauma centre. We also treated and discharged four patients from the scene.'A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: 'Officers are currently supporting the London Fire Brigade following a fatal fire in West London.'Police were called at 19:07hrs on Saturday, 20 June to New Zealand Way, White City following reports of a fire.'Two men sadly died at the scene. A third man was taken to hospital where he sadly died. We are working to inform their next of kin.'Specialist Met officers are currently supporting the London Fire Brigade to investigate the circumstances around the fire.'
