Israeli military strikes killed at least 20 people in southern Lebanon on June 19-20, despite a ceasefire agreement that had been reached just hours earlier. The attacks targeted residential areas in the Nabatieh and Tyre districts, according to Lebanese state media.
Among the dead was an entire family of four: a mother, father, and their two children, all killed in a single airstrike.
What happened
The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah was brokered by the United States, with involvement from Qatar and Iran. It followed periods of intense violence and came after Hezbollah had rejected earlier conditional deals proposed in June 2026.
