Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) celebrated its 86th Foundation Day on Saturday, reaffirming its commitment to indigenous shipbuilding and its role in strengthening the country’s maritime capabilities. The occasion highlighted the shipyard’s technological advancements, financial growth and continued focus on supporting the nation’s vision of self-reliance in the maritime sector.As part of the celebrations, Chairman and Managing Director (Additional Charge) Capt. Ganti Venkateswarlu inaugurated renovated office facilities aimed at improving the workplace environment. HSL also launched a dashboard-based Sea Trials Management System to streamline operations and enhance efficiency during sea trials.Addressing employees, Capt. Venkateswarlu attributed the shipyard’s achievements to the dedication and hard work of generations of employees who had contributed to its growth as a premier shipbuilding and ship repair organisation.In recent weeks, HSL commissioned key infrastructure at Slipway-4 and inaugurated an Advanced Welding Simulator to strengthen workforce skills and support the adoption of modern shipbuilding practices.
