People on the two trains that crashed have described how fellow passengers flew out of their seats. The King says he is “greatly saddened” by the crash, which killed the driver of one of the trains, and injured more than 80 other people. Nine are still in a critical condition.
The crash happened south of Bedford, near the hamlet of Kempston Hardwick, during the rush hour on Friday . One East Midlands Railway train rammed into the back of another, which was stationary on the same line.
