The UK Rape Gang Inquiry has now concluded the first phase of its work and it was established to examine one of the most horrendous scandals in the long history of UK — the systematic targeting of vulnerable girls, overwhelmingly White British, by predominantly Pakistani gangs across towns and cities. The Rape Gang Inquiry was survivor-led. The perpetrators of organised child sex abuse are mostly "taxi drivers and market traders of Pakistani heritage". Organised networks of perpetrators built coordinated operations that transported victims between locations, supplied them with drugs and alcohol, recorded abuse for distribution and blackmail, and passed girls between multiple adult men. These crimes have been committed for decades, since the 1950s by Pakistanis in particular, and have affected every region of UK, according to the Inquiry. British MP Rupert Lowe's recent speech has reignited discussion around the horrific "grooming gangs" in the United Kingdom that have indulged in "gang-based child sexual exploitation" across several states in the country.Lowe, in his recent speech in the UK Parliament, read graphic testimonies of survivors, describing accounts of extreme sexual abuse, child pregnancies, intimidation, alleged police misconduct, and institutional failures. The testimonies, according to Loew, were collected during his independent inquiry into group-based child sexual exploitation. Among the testimonies quoted by Lowe were accounts of extreme violence and sexual abuse. According to the independent MP, one survivor said a perpetrator "forced" a liquor bottle "up inside me". According to testimonies, gang members used racial comparisons to justify the way they "treated and controlled" women. Last year, Lowe led a private investigation that identified "gang-based child sexual exploitation" in at least 85 areas across the UK. According to a statement issued by Lowe in August last year, the probe found that "rape gangs", predominantly comprising men of Pakistani heritage, have been active for decades and "far more widespread than thought".
Pakistani gangs targeted vulnerable girls across UK towns & cities: Rape Gang Inquiry
A survivor-led inquiry has concluded its initial phase, exposing decades of systematic child sexual exploitation across the UK. Predominantly Pakistani gangs targeted vulnerable, mostly White British girls, engaging in organized abuse, drug supply, and blackmail. MP Rupert Lowe's parliamentary speech highlighted graphic survivor testimonies detailing extreme violence, intimidation, and institutional failures. His independent investigation identified this exploitation in numerous UK areas, revealing a far more widespread problem than previously understood.
