Acting Police Minister was briefed on the state of readiness of the SAPS ahead of June 30 demonstrations.

Management in the South African Police Service (SAPS) briefed Acting Minister of Police, Firoz Cachalia, on its state of readiness ahead of June 30.

The briefing was held in Pretoria and led by the Acting National Commissioner, Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane.

June 30 is the deadline given by an anti-migrant organisation for all foreigners to leave South Africa.

The purpose of the meeting was to receive a comprehensive briefing on the SAPS' state of operational readiness ahead of the planned demonstrations scheduled for June 30, 2026.
