Vasyl Bodnar, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, stated that he must renounce the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

According to the diplomat, Ukraine and Poland are currently going through a difficult period in their history. The countries have built relations based on trust, solidarity, and support.
“For us, Poland is a friend, ally, and partner. It is millions of Polish women and men who opened their homes and hearts to our people and helped Ukraine during its most difficult time. We will always remember and cherish this help, and we will tell our children and grandchildren about it,” the ambassador emphasized.
