The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing Governorship in Ekiti State, Wole Oloyede has raised concerns over the conduct of the ongoing local government election in Ekiti State, alleging delays in the voting process and intimidation of voters by security operatives.
Speaking with journalists at his polling unit on Saturday, Oloyede criticised the pace of accreditation and voting, describing the process as inefficient and potentially disenfranchising voters.
According to him, only a handful of voters had been able to cast their ballots despite spending more than an hour at the polling unit.
"The process is actually useless. People have been here for about one and a half hours and only five people have voted in my polling unit. That is what they do all the time," he said.
