Prasidh Krishna: News

Born on February 19, 1996, in Bengaluru, Prasidh Krishna is a right-arm pacer. A bowler with an ability to consistently bowl above 140 km/h, Prasidh’s rise to national prominence was not expected by many.

He made his first-class debut for Karnataka against a touring Bangladesh A team in 2015. His inclusion in the team was courtesy of three frontline bowlers’ absence. Prasidh made the best of the opportunity and took a fiver in the first innings, including a wicket off the first ball he bowled. It was in the 2017-2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy that he showed his mettle as a fast bowler. He finished the tournament as the second-leading wicket-taker.

His performances in the domestic circuit were not unnoticed as he was soon awarded an IPL contract by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018. Prasidh made his international debut in an ODI against England in 2021. He wreaked havoc by taking four wickets and became the Indian bowler with most wickets on ODI debut.
