A 62-year-old aqua farmer was allegedly beaten to death by his workers recently at Pedda Muramalla village of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district.Two workers on Wednesday thrashed their owner, Datla Krishnam Raju, with an iron rod before tying the body to a ladder. Later, they dumped the body into an aqua pond, with boulders tied to the ladder to prevent it from floating. Later, they fled the scene.“The two workers guarding the five acres of aqua ponds of the deceased have been absconding and the search is on. The accused belong to Koyyuru area in Alluri Sitarama Raju district,” Mummudivaram Circle Inspector M.
