But Los Angeles Rams safety Kam Curl will not be among the fans in the stands.Despite playing his NFL home games at the stadium, Curl revealed he still has to pay full price for FIFA World Cup tickets. Asked whether he planned to attend any FIFA World Cup matches at SoFi Stadium, the Rams defensive back explained why that may not happen."No, cuz they told me, we got to pay full price," Curl said on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams. "Like y'all in our stadium, but it is what it is. I'll watch it on TV."The comment quickly grabbed attention because SoFi Stadium is one of the major venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The stadium, temporarily renamed Los Angeles Stadium for the tournament, will host eight matches, including five group-stage games, two Round of 32 contests and a quarterfinal.However, attending those games has become difficult even for many dedicated fans. Ticket prices have reached staggering levels throughout the tournament. According to Gametime, the cheapest ticket for the United States' opening match against Paraguay cost $1,137. Only Mexico's clash with South Africa carried a higher get-in price at $3,968 among the opening fixtures.The next FIFA World Cup match at SoFi Stadium features Belgium against Iran, with ticket prices starting at $978. When the United States returns to Los Angeles to face Turkey on June 25, SeatGeek lists entry prices at around $2,040.The costs do not end with tickets. The Athletic reported in February that parking for FIFA World Cup matches could range from $75 to $300 depending on the event.Even though he will likely watch from home, Curl plans to follow the action and support Team USA throughout the tournament. He also used the opportunity to weigh in on another topic.With natural grass installed at SoFi Stadium for the FIFA World Cup, Curl made it clear he would not mind seeing it stay after the tournament. "I'm going to just tell them just leave it out there," he said during the same interview.For now, though, the grass may remain closer to the field than Curl. Unless ticket prices drop significantly, the Rams' safety will experience the FIFA World Cup from his couch rather than from the stadium where he usually plays.
