Family, friends and colleagues are mourning the sudden death of 26-year-old lawyer Sarah Araba Tettey, who reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana’s victory over Panama on Wednesday.

Tettey, an alumna of the Faculty of Law at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), was called to the Ghana Bar earlier this year and had begun practising with O & A Legal Consult, according to sources familiar with the matter.

She was reportedly watching the match with friends at Standard Hostel, a private facility located at Bomso near KNUST, when the incident occurred.

Witnesses said she suddenly collapsed during celebrations following Ghana’s victory.
