Katie Price was reportedly due back on Good Morning Britain whilst her husband Lee Andrews was missing but bosses are said to have pulled the plug on the interview21:15, 18 Jun 2026Katie Price is said to have been due back on Good Morning Britain but her appearance was cancelled by bosses at the last minute. The ex-glamour model, 48, tied the knot with Dubai businessman Lee Andrews in January just a fortnight after she met him.In May, the former I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star was due on the ITV breakfast programme with her fourth husband but he failed to board his flight, and she had to speak to Susanna Reid and Ed Balls alone. What followed was a fortnight of bizarre twists and turns where Lee's whereabouts remained unknown until he resurfaced notorious Al-Awir prison. He initially claimed that he was being held on suspicion of espionage, although it then transpired it was related to debts. Now, it has emerged that Katie had been due back on the sofa of the ITV programme whilst her husband was missing but it was all cancelled the day before.A source said: "Katie was meant to be back on Good Morning Britain a week or so back when Lee was still MIA – but they pulled her the day before.Speaking to The Sun, the source added: "It wasn’t so much that she wasn’t welcome back, I think it was that she didn’t seem to have anything new or concrete to say – she couldn’t clarify anything and gives long, confused answers. It doesn’t mean she won’t be back in the future."Just hours ago, Lee called for Susanna to be sacked from her hosting role on Good Morning Britain over the comments she made about him live on air. The journalist had been in her usual slot hosting the show with Martin Lewis, when entertainment reporter Richard Arnold gave the latest update on Lee's release from prison and Katie's new documentary. As Richard discussed Katie's new documentary with Sky and how she said it should have been eight episodes not four as she "always brings the drama", a frustrated Susanna told her colleague: "I think my eyes just rolled out of my head."Taking to his Instagram stories, he wrote: "So what is Susanna Reid rolling her eyes at? I'm not going to comment on that because obviously, I'll get onto the sofa with Katie at some point and we'll thrash it out.He added: "Your prejudice towards me without actually any solid evidence other than an ex coming forward with a story. If you're an investigative journalist, and surely you should know that."He then continued to recount his prison experience, once again, before the video cut out. He said: "I'll say it one more time - the National Guard who took me in the beginning have guns and they don't register you as being arrested."They just take you and hold you and that is what happened. Anywhere in the world you go to an airport, they have guns, they're patrolling the border and they took me, not in the best way either. It was not the best experience and from there, they held me in state security. I was transferred..."Susanna spoke to Katie about Lee when she appeared on GMB and asked if her husband was “unreliable” to which Katie responded: “Not to me.” The host said: "What I love about you Katie is that you’re very open, but I just wonder if he’s telling you everything.”Lee failed to board his flight to the UK for his joint Good Morning Britain interview with Katie. When asking the Foreign Office about Lee, the researching team were told by a spokesperson: "We supported a British man who was detained in the UAE." Ed then asked Katie directly if Lee had been arrested.Article continues belowShe hit back at the time: "No, I feel like they just said it to me in there [backstage] so I just said to Lee apparently a British man has been detained, can you confirm its not you?" and he's done a voice note back and said it's not him and sent laughing emojis."The Mirror has contacted Katie's reps for comment.Like this s tory?
