The Forest Department has announced free entry to the Arignar Anna Zoological Park in Vandalur on June 21 and 22 on the occasion of the birthday of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.Visitors can avail themselves of free entry by obtaining tickets online in advance through the zoo’s booking portal. Though entry is free, obtaining a ticket is mandatory. The zoo will remain open from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on both days, with ticket booking and entry closing at 4.30 p.m.A press release said to manage the expected crowd, the zoo would follow a slot-based entry system, with 10,000 tickets available each for the morning and afternoon sessions on both days. Visitors without internet access can obtain tickets at the zoo entrance counter.The zoo administration has advised visitors not to carry plastic-packed food items, litter the premises, feed animals, or bring prohibited items such as alcohol, tobacco products, and sound instruments.
