Running AI across a large organization without usage analytics is like handing every employee a corporate credit card with no spending limit and no monthly statement. OpenAI is now addressing that problem head-on with new credit usage analytics and updated spend controls for ChatGPT Enterprise admins.
The updates, rolled out within OpenAI’s global admin console, give workspace owners detailed visibility into how credits are being consumed and the ability to set configurable limits on a rolling basis.
What the new tools actually do
The core of the update revolves around two capabilities that enterprise IT teams have been asking for since ChatGPT Enterprise first launched on August 28, 2023: better analytics and real spending controls.
On the analytics side, the global admin console now includes advanced Codex analytics. These provide Enterprise admins with user leaderboards, model usage metrics, and plugin interaction data.
