Officers of the Abia State Police Command have arrested two suspects for alleged unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition in Aba.
The suspects, identified as David Emmanuel, 33, and Joel Emeka, 25, were apprehended during a stop-and-search operation conducted by officers attached to the Nediegoro Divisional Police Headquarters.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen Chinaka, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa.
According to the statement, the suspects were arrested on June 12, 2026, along Azikiwe Road by Kent Road in Aba after police operatives intercepted an auto rickshaw conveying them.
