The central bank yesterday kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged, , maintaining a cautious stance as it balanced a still-subdued inflation outlook against persistent global geopolitical and financial uncertainty, including tensions in the Middle East.The decision was widely expected and extends a wait-and-see approach amid uneven global conditions.The bank left the discount rate at 2 percent, the secured lending rate at 2.375 percent and the short-term accommodation rate at 4.25 percent.
