The Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET) is currently conducting a five-day intensive training programme on ‘Finance and Managerial Accounting,’ which will conclude on Friday.Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL), Prudhvitej Immadi, participated in the programme on Thursday, engaging directly with the trainees.The initiative brings together officers and employees from various State power utilities, including AP Transco, AP Genco, APEPDCL, APSPDCL, APCPDCL, and NREDCAP.Addressing the participants, Mr. Prudhvitej highlighted the critical need for constant learning in the rapidly evolving energy sector, emphasising that in the context of the global energy transition, employees must prioritise upgrading their knowledge and sharpening their management skills.“The efficiency of our organizations can be significantly improved through a blend of technical expertise, robust financial management, and the development of strong leadership qualities,” the CMD said. He added that CoEET remains committed to organizing such structured training programmes to prepare the workforce for the future challenges and requirements of the power sector.The training sessions are being facilitated by IIM Visakhapatnam faculty members Vikas Sangwan and Tamali Chakraborty, who are serving as the programme directors.
