In a major step toward enhancing operational transparency and embracing modern financial technology, Auroville conducted a training programme for the executives and accountants of all commercial and service units operating under the Auroville Foundation on Wednesday.Organised by the Foundation’s Funds and Assets Management Committee (FAMC), the session focused on the implementation and integration of the Zoho Accounts software ecosystem across all Auroville units. The initiative was led by Jayanti S. Ravi, Additional Chief Secretary of Gujarat State and Secretary of the Auroville Foundation, under the Ministry of Education.During the session, the team provided comprehensive guidance on utilising the new software to streamline daily financial operations. According to a press note, Auroville units have been rapidly transitioning toward a fully cashless financial model. By adopting secure digital payment methods and integrating them seamlessly into the Zoho software, Auroville aims to bolster accountability and transparency in financial transactions and modernise administrative processes.This modernisation effort reflects Auroville’s commitment to sustainable, efficient, and future-ready administrative practices, the release said.
