BAFANA Bafana coach Hugo Broos was criticised defensive tactics against Mexico and he, on the other side, has demanded players sho accountability against Czechia.

As the "moment of truth" arrives in Bafana Bafana’s 2026 Fifa World Cup campaign, coach Hugo Broos is hoping his troops remain disciplined in executing the game plan and will take accountability for their performance on the pitch.

Bafana Bafana will face Czechia in their second Group A clash at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Thursday (6pm). Following a 2-0 loss to Mexico in their opener, the team must secure at least a point to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive.

A loss to the Europeans would be a major blow, leaving Bafana bottom of Group A. It would leave them needing a miraculous victory over South Korea in their final group match to potentially reach the knockout stage for the first time.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Broos made it clear that anything short of a win against Czechia would effectively signal the end of their campaign.
