One person was injured after a fire broke out at a welding workshop located near Shiva Crackers in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam on Thursday. The injured person was doing welding work outside the shop at the time of the incident and has been shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.Residents and shopkeepers alerted the authorities immediately after noticing columns of smoke billowing into the sky. Arrival of the the Fire Services Department personnel at the spot and their timely intervention prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby commercial establishments and the cracker shop, bringing the situation under control before it could cause further damage.Police and Fire Services Department have initiated an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the fire.
