There have been no changes in the Russian side’s approach to the war against Ukraine, nor are there any prospects for a negotiated settlement; in particular, “without resolving the Donetsk issue, there is no chance.”
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made these remarks while speaking with journalists following a visit to Russia, Ukrinform reports, citing TRT Haber.
“During my meetings in Russia, I saw that the views of Russian officials regarding Ukraine have not changed. They say, ‘Without resolving the Donetsk issue, there is no chance,’” Fidan noted.
The Turkish foreign minister did not specify exactly which aspects of the “Donetsk issue” the Russian side is referring to.
