The Nigerian Government has declared Monday, June 29 to Friday, July 3, 2026, as National Learning Assessment (NLA) Week, ahead of the country's nationwide learning assessment to be conducted across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to a statement issued by the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, Boriowo Folasade, the exercise is aimed at generating reliable data on the academic performance of learners and providing evidence to guide educational planning, policy reforms, resource allocation and efforts to improve learning outcomes across Nigeria.
