(Joel C Ryan/Invision/The Associated Press)Looks like there’s a ring of truth to all the rumours about Tom Holland and Zendaya already being married. It’s no secret the couple, who met while starring in the Marvel film Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, were engaged. Zendaya was seen sporting a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.But speculation the couple got married in secret was everywhere earlier this year after Zendaya’s longtime stylist, Law Roach, told Access Hollywood on the Oscars red carpet that the wedding had already happened. In an interview published Tuesday, Holland seemingly confirmed to Esquire U.K. the two have now tied the knot.Zendaya attends the 82nd Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 5. (Daniel Cole/Reuters)Shortly after Roach hinted that the wedding already happened, images generated by artificial intelligence started to appear online, purporting to show the happy couple on their wedding day.Zendaya made it clear they were fake, even appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a significantly less sophisticated mock-up of her own.Esquire U.K. asked Holland about the AI images and whether he had to calm down any family members who thought they hadn’t been invited to the wedding. His grandmother? Yes. But the rest of the family? "No, because they were all there," Holland told the magazine. "That's all you'll get on that." Holland also gushed about how the couple supported each other behind the camera. "Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time," he said."So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend and I'm the happiest I ever have been when I'm with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."Holland, left, and Zendaya, right, attend the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home on Dec. 13, 2021, in Los Angeles. (Emma McIntyre/Getty Images)There will be plenty of opportunities for fans to see the newlyweds walk the red carpet together this summer. Zendaya and Holland star together in two big movies: The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.But anyone logging into Instagram hoping for a peek at Zendaya’s wedding dress will be disappointed. Neither actor has added new wedding photos, but they did both post a video reminding fans to get tickets to the new Spider-Man film.ABOUT THE AUTHORHelen Surgenor is a radio producer for CBC News World Report.
