ASMedia Technology Inc (祥碩) is developing high-speed data transmission chips for artificial intelligence (AI) servers, edge AI devices, robots and automobiles to fuel revenue growth in the next five years to counter a slowing PC market, company president Lin Che-wei (林哲偉) said after the company’s annual general meeting in Taipei.The company aims to expand revenue to US$800 million by 2030, from US$400 million last year, with automobile-related chips contributing about 15 to 20 percent, Lin said. Last year, ASMedia acquired Techpoint Inc to strengthen the development of high-definition image chips for security surveillance and automotive devices.
