Ekpeki said he and Adheke honoured the police invitation on Monday, June 15, where they were confronted with allegations that they had conspired and threatened to attack and bomb the company’s offices.

A Lagos resident, Oghenechovwo Donald Ekpeki, has accused food delivery company Chowdeck of attempting to use the police and provisions of Nigeria's Cybercrime Act to intimidate and silence him and another accident victim, Purity Adheke, in an ongoing dispute arising from a motorcycle accident involving one of the company's dispatch riders.

Ekpeki told SaharaReporters that Chowdeck petitioned the Zone 2 Police Headquarters, Lagos State, against him and Adheke, accusing them of conspiracy, cyberbullying, and threats to life, claims he described as baseless and retaliatory.

According to him, police officers recently visited his residence over the petition.

"They showed up at my house, two of them, a policeman and a policewoman in mufti. They said someone wrote a petition against me and that I was invited,” he said.
