The ADC South East leader further noted that Ndi Igbo have little or no reason to celebrate the current administration.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), South East Zone, has rejected the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office by three South East governors, insisting that the position does not reflect the views or aspirations of the Igbo people.
The party described the endorsement, which was made during an APC rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, as a personal and self-serving decision by the governors, arguing that it was disconnected from the realities facing millions of Nigerians.
In a statement issued on behalf of the party, the ADC National Vice Chairman (South East), Sir Bon Unachukwu, said the governors lacked the mandate to speak on behalf of Ndigbo and accused them of misrepresenting the position of the region.
According to him, the endorsement was a direct insult to Nigerians grappling with economic hardship, insecurity, inflation, unemployment and declining living standards under the current administration.
