Inter Milan have agreed to sign goalkeeper Ivan Provedel from Lazio for a fee of approximately €3 million, slotting the 32-year-old into the backup role behind first-choice keeper Josep Martinez. The deal includes a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year, and Provedel has accepted a salary reduction to facilitate the transfer.
The deal structure
Provedel will earn approximately €1.5 million annually at Inter, a step down from the roughly €2 million he was pulling in at Lazio. The transfer fee falls within a range of €2-4 million, with €3 million being the widely cited figure.
Lazio are letting Provedel leave despite his contract running through 2027. Negotiations moved quickly, with agent discussions and personal terms reportedly settled by around June 10, 2026, with fee negotiations between the two clubs running in parallel.
