Residents of Umabor Eha-Alumonah community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State have staged a protest over what they described as decades of government neglect.

The angry youths, who marched through parts of the community where erosion is threatening to cut the only access road into two, accused successive administrations in Enugu State of abandoning the area despite its consistent electoral support for ruling political parties over the years.
Carrying placards and displaying photographs of dilapidated public facilities, the protesters lamented the deplorable state of schools, roads and healthcare centres in the community, insisting that repeated appeals to government authorities had yielded no meaningful intervention.
