An event was held at the Directorate of School Education to felicitate government school students and teachers who won prizes in the Make Science International Competition 2026, jointly promoted by the University of Paris, the Pondicherry Science Forum, State Training Centre and the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.A release here said around 30 project proposals from government schools in Puducherry and Karaikal regions were submitted to the Paris University for shortlisting. Of the total proposals, 12 were selected by the university for execution. After completing the works, reports and videos of projects were submitted to the university for final selection, the release said.The first prize was won by Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thiruvandarkoil. The second prize was shared by Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thirunallar, Karaikal region, Government Middle School, Karukkangudi, Karaikal region and Government Middle School, Pillaichavady.
