Students from KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences, Hubballi, have bagged four gold medals and seven ranks in the 28th annual convocation of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bengaluru on Tuesday.Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot presided over the convocation.Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Minister for Medical Education Sharanprakash Patil and RGUHS vice-chancellor Bhagavan B.C. attended the event where the gold medals and ranks were awarded, Principal of KLE Society’s Institute of Nursing Sciences Sanjay M. Peerapur has said in a release.While Saraswati Mariyai secured the first rank and gold medal in PB B.Sc Nursing, Jhansi Jonnalgadda secured the first rank and gold medal in M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing.Similarly, Chaitra Kotagi secured the second rank and gold medal in M.Sc Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing and Deepashri S. Kulkarni secured the fourth rank and gold medal in M.Sc Paediatric Nursing.Three other students have also secured ranks.Prof. Peerapur has said that the institute has secured the first rank in M.Sc Nursing for five years in a row from 2022.
