The website TankerTrackers has announced that Iranian oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz have resumed. The website, which tracks maritime oil shipments, stated that several Iranian tankers managed to leave the maritime zone cordoned off by the United States Navy.
According to TankerTrackers, this marks the “first export of Iranian crude oil in the past two months.” Based on satellite imagery, two National Iranian Oil Company supertankers, named Diona and Hero2, carried a combined total of 3.8 million barrels of crude oil, while a third tanker carrying one million barrels also passed through the same area.
