What's the storyIndia's annual defense production has hit a record high of ₹1.78 lakh crore in the financial year 2025-26, a major milestone in the country's journey toward self-reliance in defense manufacturing.
The figure is a 15.6% increase from the previous fiscal year's output of ₹1.54 lakh crore and more than double of ₹84,643 crore during FY 2020-21.
