ALBAWABA - Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, which is set to be revealed to the public in September, seems prepared to set a new bar in smartphone AI integration. As the date of the reveal gets closer, more information is coming out regarding Apple's newest iPhone, at a WWDC26 keynote last week it was revealed just how AI heavy Apple's approach is as the iPhone 18 is set to be the first phone built from the ground up on an AI (Apple Intelligence) framework instead of just incorporating AI features. To make this possible, all variations of the iPhone 18 will feature 12GB of RAM which allow the new Siri AI the room it needs to be a full-fledged personal assistant. Even with the RAM upgrade, it is speculated that the starting price of the phone will remain consistent with previous releases at $799.The bad news comes in the form of a pushback on the release date of the new iPhone (set to release in Spring 2027) with Pro models being pushed back to late fall of that year as Apple is widely rumored to stagger the releases; confirmed by Largan Precision chairman Lin En-ping, speaking at the company’s annual shareholder meeting.A "major U.S. client" has pushed back the launch of a new model to Q1 2027, he said, affecting component procurement timelines.
