Pankaj Tripathi is yet another gem of the entertainment industry who graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD). Working as an actor for over fifteen years, Tripathi is one of the most successful actors in Hindi cinema. Fearing failure in his career in acting, he initially studied Hotel Management and worked in Patna for a few years. However, disappointed with his job, he shifted to Delhi and studied dramatic arts at NSD in 2004. In the same year, he shifted to Mumbai and was selected for a commercial for Tata Tea. After eight years of struggle, Tripathi finally got his breakthrough and changed his position in the industry with the release of 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in 2012. He was applauded for the roles of gangsters and antagonists in his movies over the next few years. In 2017, he was cast in the 'Newton', which became India's official entry in the best foreign film category for the Academy Awards that year. After playing major roles in several movies, he appeared in Amazon Prime Video's web series 'Mirzapur' and its sequel, too. In 2019, he was seen in 'Sacred Games' on Netflix. Tripathi is a recipient of one National Film Award and one Screen Award.
