.Now, made-in-India defence innovations are taking the global stage.Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the wholly-owned defence subsidiary of Indian multinational Bharat Forge, and global aerospace and defense company Paramount on Tuesday unveiled a next-generation light armoured multi-purpose vehicle Simha 4x4 at Eurosatory 2026, which is the largest international exhibition for the land and air-land defence and security industry.Developed to address the rapidly evolving mobility, protection and mission requirements of armed forces in India, Africa, South Asia, and other global markets, the Simha 4x4, is an ab initio design – that delivers a uniquely capable multi-purpose platform.Combining power, agility, and protection, the Simha 4x4 is best suited for a mix of urban warfare and on and off-road reconnaissance. Building on proven aggregates, its modular architecture allows easy upgrades, customisations, and modifications enabling users to streamline and optimise their supply and MRO Lines, a statement from Kalyani said.The Simha 4x4 has been developed in record time, while prioritising rigorous product validation and testing, using advanced digital platforms, the statement said.
