Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia five times late on Tuesday, killing one person and wounding seven others, regional officials said. According to Ukraine’s National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out five strikes on the city in the evening. Three people were initially reported injured after the attack, but the number of wounded later rose to seven. Emergency crews were working at the impact sites as officials assessed the full scale of the damage. Zaporizhzhia, a major city in southeastern Ukraine, has been repeatedly targeted by Russian missiles, guided bombs and drones throughout the full-scale invasion. Moscow continues to deny deliberately targeting civilians, despite repeated strikes on residential areas, schools, shopping centers and other civilian infrastructure across Ukraine.
