The Federal Open Market Committee meets Wednesday under a new chairman. With new leadership, Fed communication could change, including how or whether it publishes projections of what Fed officials believe the fed-funds rate will be in coming years. Historically, the Fed has published a set of median projections, as well as a "dot plot" showing each official's anonymized forecast. Newswires will continue its longstanding practice of reporting the median forecasts, if the Fed continues to provide them.
