After years of delays and uncertainty, Nigeria’s long-awaited transition from analogue to digital broadcasting received a major boost on Tuesday as key stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to completing the country’s Digital Switch Over (DSO) programme and agreed on a new hybrid model designed to accelerate implementation.
The landmark resolution emerged from a high-level stakeholders’ meeting convened by the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation in Abuja.
