HYDERABADThe State government is making changes constantly based on the suggestions of farmers in the fertilizer app introduced for booking urea without waiting in queues at the fertilizer shops, Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao stated.To enable farmers who do not use smartphones book urea, the government has made available a toll-free number. The Minister stated that a total of 90.22 lakh urea bags were available in the State now and about 4.06 farmers had booked 13.22 lakh bags of urea already and over 11.18 lakh bags of urea (84.6% of the booked numbers) had already been supplied/distributed to farmers.On the stock available, the Minister said 22.67 lakh bags of urea was with retail shops, 5.56 lakh with cooperative societies, 59.56 lakh with Markfed and another 3.56 lakh in godowns. Nizamabad tops the district-wise booking of urea followed by Kamareddy, Kumuram Bheem-Asifabad, Sangareddy and Adilabad districts. Published - June 16, 2026 09:05 pm IST
