For passengers arriving at and departing from Noida International Airport on Monday, taxis proved to be a reliable mode of transport, easing concerns over connectivity to the greenfield airport, which is located around 65km from Noida Sector 18 and 40km from Pari Chowk. With Uber, Ola and Rapido setting up booths inside the terminal, and two premium cab operators stationed in the parking area, travellers had more options than many had anticipated, according to Shafaque Alam's Times of India report. Among budget aggregators, fares to Sector 18 were broadly in the Rs 1,000 –1,200 range. Ola listed rides at Rs 1,051 for a mini, Rs 1,151 for a prime sedan and Rs 1,322 for prime plus. Uber displayed fares of Rs 851 for Go Priority and Rs 1,215 for Premier XL.Rapido, which deployed nearly 20 cabs at the airport, was offering discounts of Rs 100–200 to inaugural customers. Uber extended 50% discounts capped at Rs 1,000 to 25 first-time users while deploying 30 cabs for airport operations. Ola, with a fleet of 150 cabs, was offering Rs 250 off to new riders. Staff at the booths said all three services would operate 24x7.Passengers seeking a more premium travel experience also had two options.NIA has partnered with Mahindra Logistics Mobility to offer Alyte, an all-electric, chauffeur-driven service positioned as a technology-enabled corporate mobility solution. Four EVs were stationed in the front row of the parking area, with additional vehicles kept on standby. As of Monday evening, fares to Sector 18 stood at Rs 2,871 for an SUV and Rs 3,062 for a sedan. Alyte airport manager Amrish Kumar said TOI that chauffeurs undergo regular training and passenger feedback is closely monitored. “We have placed four cabs at the front row while some are on standby in the parking area,” he said to TOI, adding that the service is available round the clock. The other premium operator, Mann Fleet Partners, had deployed 51 vehicles at the airport, including Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki Invicto and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder models, with five stationed in the front row. Fares were Rs 1,927 for economy and Rs 2,588 for economy plus. President Amarjeet Mann said the company was handling both passenger transport and employee mobility, and planned to scale up operations significantly. “We are not only handling car rental but also employee transportation,” she said to TOI.UPSRTC buses, launched last week, have also begun serving the airport, though with a significant caveat. The buses stop near the entry gate rather than the terminal itself, requiring passengers to board a shuttle and cover nearly a kilometre to reach the airport.(With TOI inputs)
