More than £8 million seized by authorities in Guernsey is to be returned to people who were defrauded in the massive OneCoin scam.

The seized funds are to be handed over to authorities in Germany, where they will be used to compensate victims of the $4.5bn (£3.4bn) fraud.

Guernsey’s Royal Court in January upheld an Overseas Forfeiture Order that was sought on behalf of German authorities, and the funds were transferred to Guernsey’s Seized Assets Fund.
