Manchester City have locked down a deal for Hermann Malonga, the teenage center-back who spent his developmental years in PSG’s youth system. The French U17 international will make the move to England on a free transfer after PSG failed to tie him to a first professional contract.

The agreement, which includes a five-year professional deal, represents another case of a promising Parisian academy product choosing the Premier League over staying in Ligue 1.

What City are getting

Malonga, born on January 8, 2008, is 18 years old and stands at 1.89 meters tall, roughly 6 feet 2 inches.

He most recently featured for PSG’s U19 squad, where Manchester City’s scouting operation tracked him extensively during the UEFA Youth League.
