PORT HARCOURT — The Chairman of the Khana Local Government Area Council of Traditional Rulers in Rivers State, King Suanu Timothy Baridam, has denied allegations linking him to criminal gangs operating in the area, describing the claims as false and defamatory.
The monarch was responding to allegations reportedly made by some youth leaders who accused him of sponsoring criminal activities in Khana Local Government Area.
In a statement issued on Monday by his media consultant, Dr. Domene Mea, King Baridam described the allegations as “reckless, malicious and unfounded,” insisting that he has no relationship with any criminal gang, cult group or individuals involved in unlawful activities.
