MANILA, Philippines — Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island generated a total of 15 ash emission events since Monday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

In an advisory, state seismologists said one of the latest ash emission events occurred at 8:58 a.m. on Tuesday.

“This event generated grayish plumes that rose 500 meters above the crater before drifting southwest,” Phivolcs said in its post.
